Circa: 1970 -- inside caseback marked "IV70".

Dial: Original (and VERY desirable) Rolex dial with RED "Submariner" lettering -- perfect condition.

Case: Stainless Steel case, with plastic crystal and black bi-directional rotating bezel. Please Note: The case has been left in "original" condition, and has NOT been polished or refinished. We overhauled the movement and replaced the seals and crystal, but left everything else original.

Also, please note that the watch still features the old style tube -- without rubber O-ring seal. While the case sides (between the lugs) do show some wear from the bracelet's endpieces, the serial and reference numbers are still readable and easily confirm numbers on the paperwork.

Band / Bracelet: Genuine Period (9315 - though not marked on links) Rolex "folded link" Oyster Bracelet, with 380 end pieces -- 11 links. Excellent condition with only moderate stretch. The diver's extension features the typo "PATETED", which is 100% accurate for this watch.

Movement: Original Rolex 1570 (hacking) movement.

Case size: 40mm (outer case dimensions -- not including crown).

Box & Paperwork: This watch is LOADED with original paperwork!!!

It comes with the original box, hang tags (both red and green), "Rolex Submariner" model booklet, plastic folding wallet (with caseback "1680" sticker attached), "Official Chronometer Certification" (translation booklet), "Your Rolex Oyster" Guarantee Booklet (featuring ship date stamp "4 73"), with "punched" Reference and Serial Numbers, along with full customer details -- Sold in Hawaii on 12/19/73.

Also, included is the original Chronometer Certificate also with "punched" Serial Number, as well as a One Year Rolex Service Center Guarantee paperwork (dated 10/13/95), with matching serial number and customer name. The service receipts from "Levy Jewelers" (in Georgia) for the 1995 service are also included.

I just can't stress enough how RARE it is to find a "Red" Submariner in this condition with FULL PAPERWORK DOCUMENTATION AND ACCESSORIES!!! They do not come up for sale very often and this one will not last long!!! If you have ever wanted to own a "Red" Submariner then this is a once in a lifetime opportunity!!
