Circa: Early 1920s, as this design was patented in 1923.

Dial: Original Rolex Scientific-style 3-9-12, and hands with sub seconds.

Case: Sterling Silver case, with plastic crystal and original Rolex crown. Please note this watch features a case within a case. The outer case is unscrewed (from the front) to reveal an inner case where the crown can be accessed to set the time and wind the watch. This inner case is then hinged up to reveal the caseback where it is snapped open to access the movement. There are also (2) crystals in this design.

Band / Bracelet: Genuine Leather Strap.

Movement: Original Rolex 15 jewel manual wind movement.

Description: This watch has been recently serviced by our watchmakers and is in VERY GOOD condition for its age. This is a VERY RARE example of the pre-oyster "hermetic" case and it is nearly impossible to find one in such good condition. This is an excellent opportunity to own a piece of early Rolex history. Due to the inconvenience of this design very few were made from 1923 until the Oyster case was introduced in 1927.
