"For those watch collectors and enthusiasts,
John Brozek's new 'Companion Pocket Guide'
is an absolute must have for quick reference in
an easy to carry booklet. It takes a lot of the mystery
and confusion, or lack of information, out of Rolex,
and answers a need that has been long awaited.
John Brozek has created a tool that is
worth its weight in gold..."

Explaining the identification, use and evolution of the Reference Numbers on genuine Rolex watches, including Serial
Numbers (since 1927), as well as a detailed resource for identifying Case Reference (model) Numbers. Also identified
are the secret material (metal) codes used in the case and bracelet Reference Numbers.

comparison photos. This section includes identification of the latest security features, including the hologram sticker

Quoted from the Introduction...
In early 1999, we published the first edition of The Rolex Report, which quickly became a "best seller" in the
Rolex community. Now, in its 4th edition, there are over 10,000 copies in circulation-- in over 35 countries
worldwide. What started as a small booklet to help eBay-ers identify counterfeit Rolex watches, has evolved
into a critically acclaimed 300 page reference book, acknowledged in some of the mosy prestigious
horological publications in the world.
With that being said, this Companion Pocket Guide was created to act as a supplement to the aforementioned
book, to be subsequently republished as changes in the industry warrants it.
While this guide does include content (extracted) from the book, which you may find useful while attending watch
shows, antique shops or public auctions--it was, in fact, formatted to make it easy to "carry", thus a pocket guide--
its primary purpose is to include the latest Rolex news and information not yet covered in the book.
It was also our desire to offer this pocket guide at an affordable price for those who are just beginning to delve
into the world of Rolex. With a new breed of high-tech fakes on the horizon, buyers (novice and seasoned alike)
need to continually educate themselves with the latest information available. Therefore, I hope you find this guide
to be beneficial as you further educate yourself on, what I believe to be, one of the greatest companies in the world.
